Hydrosols, also known as flower water or distillates, are produced from steam distillation of fresh plant material (in this case highly aromatic organic rose petals) and have similar aromatic properties to essential oil (however they are much less concentrated than essential oil and are therefor safe to apply directly onto the skin).
